Coordinated Entry System & Service Planning Areas
The Los Angeles County Coordinated Entry System (CES) facilitates the coordination and management of all of the various resources and services that are part of the County’s homeless crisis response system. CES was designed to coordinate service providers’ efforts, helping them efficiently and effectively connect people with whatever interventions they need to rapidly resolve their housing crisis.
Proposition HHH (L.A. County) & Measure H (L.A. City)
In 2016, the City of Los Angeles approved a $1.2 billion bond measure passed by an overwhelming 76% of voter’s support. Prop HHH, paid for by property taxes, is helping to finance the construction of new supportive housing in the City, with a goal of building 10,000 units in ten years. Track Prop HHH’s progress here.
In 2017, residents of the County of Los Angeles voted in support of a one-quarter of a cent sales tax to generate funds for homeless services and short-term housing. Funding from Measure H enables prevention services, subsidized housing, and increased case management services for all populations.
LA Family Housing
LA Family Housing is one of the largest homeless service providers in Los Angeles County, and is the CES lead for individuals and families in SPA 2 (the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys). Serving over 11,000 people each year, LAFH helps people transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services.
