Beating Every Obstacle:
LA Family Housing is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. During my childhood there was a time when my family and I were homeless. We spent time digging through trash cans looking for cans and bottles after school. During nights and weekends this was how we spent our time just so we could earn money to eat and get by. There was a period of time we lived at the Valley Homeless shelter (now known as LA Family Housing). Although it wasn't the ideal living arrangement, it was better than being on the street. Through those experiences, a burning desire to succeed was developed within me. This desire for success wasn't just to make sure my kids never experienced what I went through growing up but also to help combat homelessness.
For this reason, I am an active member on the Board of Directors of LA Family Housing. I have committed to bringing awareness to help make a difference. A small part of this effort is by raising money that will go to continuing to help people transition out of homelessness and poverty to a permanent stable living situation.
I am putting a team together to participate in the upcoming Spartan Race at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, April 28th. We're asking for your help in reaching our team goal of $3,000. Each and every dollar counts and puts us one step closer to getting someone to a stable livelihood.
We would love for you to join us by participating in the event and/or by making a kind donation and sharing it with your network of people.
Thank you in advance for your kind gesture.
